Here it is the middle of March and every day this week it’s suppose to be in the low 80’s….can we all say hip-hip-horray! Â Of course, this summer when it’s in the 100’s I’ll be singing a different tune.
The flowers, and most of the trees, are in full bloom…gorgeous…, the grass is green and growing as fast as the weeds, and the sun is shinning brightly. I even set outside today to try and get my “pasty white” skin to get a little color back in it. Two years of NO FLORIDA has sure kept me WHITE!!! I’m also getting back in the swing of walking a couple of miles most days and that’s a very good thing…today it got almost HOT while walking! Can you tell that I’m loving these spring days?
We are getting very busy at the “blue house” and we are thrilled. We have a sweet family there now that just wanted to come and see Kentucky…they are from Illinois. The older 4 children (ages 7-2 +/- a year or so) were so excited to see all the horse farms…the infant could care less…on their way into Wilmore and were so looking forward to visiting the Horse Park today. Thankfully, they have been blessed with perfect weather to sight see our beautiful state. They will be here four days and then some more folks will be here on Friday. In fact, I’ve had to hire a friend to clean the house for us while we’re in Texas…that’s a first! We have a lot of back-to-back guest through June so we’re going to be busy, busy, busy!!!
We will be leaving for Texas on April 4th…going to Dallas to see Carter/Lori for a couple of days before heading to Abilene to see my folks for a few days. Even though they don’t know it yet, we hope to come back home via Atoka so we can check on the twins and their parents for a day or so. We just have to be home by Sunday night (15th) ’cause we have lots to do on Monday (16th).
George and I continue to be doing well, for old folks, and we feel very blessed. As far as we know, his foot continues to heal and he does anything he wants in real shoes.  My shoulder is still the same, but I continue to do whatever I want. Lacey has done well with her knee surgery and will be going back to work in just another week or so. Blake and Grayson, along with their academic team, came in first for their region at their academic competition yesterday and that was a first for their school. Congratulations guys and we are so proud of you and your “smarts”.
Blake, Grayson, Kyle, and Tyler are all back in baseball and that’ll keep those families busy for the next few months. Ryan is still busy with ROTC and Madi is busy with Art…Jerod just finished up his academic schedule and they did well again this year…Meredith is busy with track and dance…Chase is chasing the bad guys of Brentwood…Chance just got home from his spring break trip to Florida…Branden and Sean are just busy, I guess. I haven’t heard about them in a while…the last we heard Sean is in school at UofL and Branden is working and they are both back in Louisville. As for the twins…they are just busy being two and adorable!
Daniel and Jerod got home from SC this afternoon where they went quail hunting and got lots of them! They have put a big bag full of them in our freezer and Tanya will cook them up at a later date. More on this later.
No more news so guess I’ll get something done around here…like read or watch basketball. Have a great week and I’ll be outside enjoying these sunny days. Love to all.
Blessings……..
