Yesterday was a great day and went by really fast. George and I walked first thing yesterday morning so we did one productive thing that day. We met Jerre and Rita for lunch at a Mexican restaurant and it was good seeing them and catching up on what’s happen for the last three years. They are both doing well and Rita has gotten so thin but she said it was her desire to be this thin and is now just maintaining. Regardless, it was good spending a little time with them. It was a LONG drive over there and the traffic was stop and go for a lot of it even though we were on the interstate…gotta love BIG city traffic!
We went to the Dallas botanical garden that afternoon and that is beautiful. Carter and Lori had been a week or so ago and said it was a lot prettier then since everything was in full bloom. It’s such a beautiful setting on the lake and I can’t imagine living in a place like that. Truly beautiful even though many plants were past prime for the blooming season. There were LOTS of people there and we even had to park a few blocks away and ride a shuttle bus in…saved us the $10 parking fee, so that wasn’t all bad. Our feet all said we had walked a lot so once we got home we just rested a little bit. Lori fixed a delicious dinner, we sat out on the roof top patio with our coffee and dessert, and watch the night lights appear along with the gorgeous full moon. All in all it was a great day.
We are walking over to a art fair today…about 6-8 blocks from Carter and Lori’s…and that should be interesting. Tomorrow we’ll be going to church, a brunch, and a Ranger’s ballgame. This has been so much fun being here and we are so blessed with good kids.
Got to go eat some breakfast. Love to all
Blessings…..
