Home again….

We had an amazing eleven day, got to see several family members,  and put over 2,300 miles on the rental car.  Our time in Dallas with Carter and Lori was lots of fun and we LOVED getting to go to the farmer’s market several times, ate some great food in both restaurants…one time we were joined by my baby brother, Jerre, and his wife Rita…and at their house, celebrated Easter by attending church with them and then going to a very tasty brunch at a very upscale restaurant, and ended our time with them by attending a Ranger’s ballgame.  Monday morning we got to eat breakfast, and visit, with some special friends in Fort Worth…Gary and Dianne Smith…as we were on our way to Abilene.  Once we made it to Abilene, it was a busy time doing stuff with the folks…went to see the beautiful blue bonnets, visited their OLD house, played lots of 42, celebrated their birthdays  (93 each) and anniversary (73 years) and that was a blessing.  Time went by quickly and it was soon time to head to Atoka…ending our trip with a couple of days with our precious twin grand sons, along with Scott and Allison.  We finally made it home yesterday afternoon and I washed sheets and towels for the next 6 1/2 hours…”blue house” was rented almost the entire time we were gone so all sheets and towels were used…so we’d be able to get the “blue house” ready for our guest that come in today.  We are having another fantastic month and only 8 days were not rented for the entire month and the next couple of months are just as busy.  This keeps us not lacking for stuff to do and for that we’re so thankful.  God has truly blessed us with this “part-time” job!

So glad for our ability to travel and it’s always fun but, it’s so good to get back home and sleep in our own bed!  I am thankful for the health and well-being of the folks, all the different family we saw…forgot to mention we had lunch with my sister, Linda, as we went through Nashville…and for a good man to travel with.  Thanks George for driving all those miles and for loving my family as you would your own.  George and I have been so blessed with five great kids, five great in-law kids, even greater grand kids, and a strong love for each other and for God.  I am truly grateful and so happy with my life.

Got to get out and walk or the day will be over before I work it in.  Have a great week!

Blessings
