Clark and Vanessa came to see us for a one night visit and we sure enjoyed having them. They were on their way back to Wisconsin from Florida and swung by to say “happy mother’s day and happy birthday” and to take us to dinner to celebrate these events. Clark had gotten quite sunburn while on the beach and is still feeling those effects but otherwise they are both doing really well.
George’s birthday was celebrated but on a MUCH SMALLER scale when compared to mine back in February, but I pray he felt loved and appreciated. All the Crockett’s joined us for dinner at Chuy’s…Mexican restaurant that was very good…and he got several phone calls, gifts, Facebook postings, and cards. I fixed him a big banana pudding, that was snarfed up in a flash, but the birthday song was never sung or any candles blown out. I guess with 70 candles on the pudding, it may have set off our overly sensitive smoke detector. Oh well, the birthday boy is loved and that’s what counts.
Please pray for Vanessa as she’s having some surgery Thursday to remove a cancerous spot on her neck. They feel it was caught in the early stages, but the “C” word is always one of concern. She’s feeling so much better, otherwise, and is back to the girl we have known and loved for all these many years. I’ll let you know the results of this once we find out!
Got to get busy and enjoy this beautiful day. Love to all.
Blessings…….
