We got the news of Vanessa’s surgery yesterday and the doctor’s feel they were able to eradicate all the cancer cells. They removed quite a hunk of skin from her neck, it took 25 stitches to close her back up, but we’re praising God that it’s over, cancer is gone, and healing will take place ever so slowly…she was told it would take a year. She’ll have to go back every three months to make sure everything stays OK and no cancer has raised it’s ugly head again. Heal quickly, Vanessa, and we’ll see you soon. Love you!
Summer has decided to do a trial run on Central Kentucky this weekend. It’ll only be in the higher 80’s but that’s warm for us for this time of the year. We have some friends using our backyard for a graduation party on Saturday night, so I’m very thankful it”ll be warm vs. cold and rainy like it was last Sunday. Mark has gotten his doctorate and they have invited about 60 of their closest friends to celebrate with them…these were our sweet “across the street” neighbors before they out grew their apartment. They are going into the mission field and will be moving to Michigan on June 8 to work with their supporting church before they actually move over seas. We will always be grateful for the Awabdy’s and their love for the Lord, and for us.
Guess I have nothing more to share so I’ll get me another cup of coffee and figure out what I’ll do today. Have a great weekend and thanks to you that prayed for Vanessa. Love to all.
Blessings…….
