Today is another near perfect day in Pt. Charlotte. The temperature is around 70 degrees with a nice wind, so sunning on the boat dock was a pleasure. The manatees are out there and they are such gentle mammals. You only hear them exhale or inhale but nothing else and the size of them is just amazing. See what eating only greens can do for you! Makes you big and fat…therefore, chocolate sounds good!
George has gone fishing and I hope he catches a bunch this time. We don’t ever keep any he catches, but it just the sport of doing it and everyone needs some bragging rights!
Nothing much happening this week, or any week for that matter, but it is so nice just being here. I started reading the “The Kite Runner”by Khaled Hosseini this morning…it’s the book George mentioned on his blog…and it is a book you can’t put down for long. We plan to go see the movie while here since it just came out but I want to finish the book first. Go get it, those of you that like to read, and see if you enjoy it as much as we did.
I finished up the Liz Curtis-Higgs book, “Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible” yesterday and it, too, was a good book. She is so witty and factual in describing the different women. When I’ve heard her speak and promote her books, she’ll tell you there are no good girls of the Bible…they are all just like us…FLAWED! Again, you need to read the book!Â
