Beautiful day….

After many days of heat and humidity, we are being blessed today with an absolutely beautiful day with lower temperatures and lower humidity.  Absolutely perfect, for now!!!  We will enjoy every minute of today because we have several days of near record heat just around the corner….upper 90’s, humid, and just plain HOT.  This year has been a year of strange weather, so there’s no need in changing now, I guess.

Here’s a little family updates…Vanessa had successful gall bladder surgery on Sunday and is now home resting and healing…George’s fingers are healing nicely and for that we are thankful…Lorin will be leaving for his hiking trip on the 2nd and we’re praying for his safety and enjoyment while out in the northwestern part of our great country…Linda Lou will be having her ankle surgery tomorrow (Wednesday) and we are praying that will be successful and free her of some, if not all, of the pain she’s had for so long…and I didn’t want to get left out, so I got stung by a bee yesterday and my finger still hurts!  Life is busy with lots of issues, but we are all so blessed, regardless of our temporary issues of health and hurts.

George, along with about 90 other men, went to a Reds ballgame in Cincinnati last night and they all had a great time.  The Reds even won!  This was an event through our church and was sort of a “father’s day” thingy that would offer some good male bonding…especially for boys with no father in their life.  Glad they had this opportunity and it turned out to be a perfect evening with this cold front passing through.

Guess that’s about all for today.  I would ask that you pray for our friends, Martin Ray and Betty Johnson, as they had a 26 year old grandson die unexpectedly on Sunday and they are devastated.  Life is short and a lot happens but God remains faithful and will be with us through whatever we experience.  Love to all.

Blessings…….
