Today is a very special day and a cause for great celebration…Kyle Robert Gabehart has reached his 16th birthday! Kyle is a great young man that excels in school with a consistent 4.0 + gpa, loves baseball and is good at playing it, handsome to a fault, and just an all around good guy. Happy, happy birthday, Kyle. Your Mimi loves you deeply.

We almost got some rain last evening but ended up with nothing more than a lot of strong wind…leaves are everywhere this morning. It has been really hot the last few days…over 102 degrees along with high humidity…and no rain for weeks. All the grass is now brown, the flowers are hanging on by a thread, and central KY is no longer beautiful! Please send us some rain, Lord!
George and I continue to stay busy each day in spite of the heat. His foot is well, his fingers continue to heal…knitting up from the bottom takes longer…and he’s learning new stuff all the time out in his workshop. He loves working with wood and making stuff but I still feel uneasy about him getting hurt…AGAIN!!! I can’t say I’m currently doing much of anything constructive, but I do stay busy. Life is good for us both and we are both healthy so all in all, we are doing great!
Got to get busy and tackle this house by chasing out some of the dust bunnies…going to do all the floors today. The “blue house” is rented so I won’t be doing anything over there until the 5th. Have a great 4th as we celebrate our Independence and what it’s cost so many for us to have it. Again…Happy Birthday KYLE, ALLISON, and the USA!!! Love to all.
