What a beautiful day today…80 degrees, light wind, and lots of sunshine.  Sorry to say there was no school today in Wilmore because of snow! So glad we’re here!
Our good friends, Gary and Dianne Smith from Louisville, came to visit on Sunday and left today around noon. We had such a good time while they were here and they are certainly easy to entertain…go to the beach or the boat dock and they are fine! We did go to the beach yesterday for about 2 1/2 hours, then to lunch at the “Snook Haven“…a real Florida place…, then came back to the house to clean up and go to the movies. We saw “The Bucket List” and it’s a really cute movie and one I would recommend. After a good lunch today at the Lock “N Key restaurant they headed for Orlando for the next eight days. They love the sun since they lived in Florida for nine years before moving to Louisville several years ago.Â
We got word just this afternoon that our dear friend, Chester Jenkins, is at deaths door. He’s been ill for some time and just recently was placed in a nursing home. He was one of the elders at church for many years and he and his wife, Margaret, have always been very special to us.  Please pray for him and his family.
Today is my brother’s birthday and I hope he’s enjoying it by doing something special and fun…HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LORIN!!! Glad you are still older than I am!
I read this statement this morning and thought I’d past this wisdom on to you that read my blog…“the second day of a diet is always easier than the first. By the second day you’re off of it”…by Barbara Johnson. Can any of you relate to this? I sure can. I sometimes can’t even make it through day one. Now pass the chocolate, please!
