Kyle is here…

We were able to have Madi stay with us from Thursday night through Monday afternoon and all I can say is…She’s a delightful child.  She loved working in the carriage house with her Papa and made several items to take home.  Since Grayson was playing ball Saturday afternoon, she was a good sport about going to yet another baseball game…she has gone to lots of games this summer with both Kyle and Tyler playing ball.  Sunday afternoon we went to the movies and saw “Brave” and that was cute.  Then on Monday morning she and I went to the mall…boy can that girl shop!!!  She loves to shop and we didn’t miss a store…many we visited more than once…and is very judicial with how she spends her monies.  We were able to get a necklace and matching earrings that she needed for a wedding she’ll be in on August 12th along with some items for her Halloween costume…long socks, suspenders, and large glasses.  I was exhausted by the time we got home!!!

We left Wilmore around 3:30 to meet Melissa in Frankfort so that Madi could go back home.  I exchanged her for Kyle and he’ll be here until Thursday night or Friday morning.  He, too, is a delightful young man and not a bit of trouble.  Kyle is now 16, has his drivers permit, and a really great guy.  He is also making some pens to take home and is learning a lot about using some of his Papa’s tools.  He and Jerod are really big buddies and enjoy spending time together so he’s always glad to get to Wilmore.

Melissa and all her family will be having some fun family time this week.  Once they get through having fun, we will be having Tyler and Ryan for a few days each and then it will be time for school to start.  This summer is going by quickly…life is going by quickly once you get our age…and all the kids will be back in school soon.

We continue to be blessed with guest at the “blue house” and all of them seem to really enjoy staying there.  Our next guest will be six ladies that are coming to this area for a Mid-wife convention (?) and they were only able to get the house for one night since we have another group checking in on Thursday afternoon.  We have had a busy summer and that keeps us happy!

Out of news so guess I’ll get back to my crocheting.  Have a good week and hope you are not as hot and dry as Central KY.  We are truly in a drought!  Glad Lorin is having a good trip and enjoying his time in the Rocky Mountains.  Pray he’ll continue to stay safe and well!

Blessings……….
