Life continues to fly by but not much is happening, or changing, with George and I. We are still having LOTS of heat and humidity with very little rain in our area. We did get some rain last week and that has helped to green things up again but we could sure use a lot more. Some areas are getting way to much rain and some not enough…wish it would balance out but God has a plan and we’ll just have to see how he’s going to work this thing called life out.
George continues working with his lathe and has made several small bowls along with some pens/pencils lately. He really enjoys making these and is getting quite good at it. I guess he’ll eventually be qualified as a “master woodworker” and that will probably mean even bigger and better tools!
I have finally gotten back to working on the sweater I started last fall and have just about gotten it completed…looks pretty good if I say so myself. It’s so hot right now I can’t imagine having to wear it anytime soon but know it’ll be good come October. I love to knit and crochet so guess I’ll always have something in the making while George is “turning” his wood. Makes us sound like what we do is what OLD people are known for doing! We are OLD so guess we’re doing what we should be doing. Life is good and we’re certainly enjoying it!!!
Got to get clothes out of the dryer so guess I’ll get busy doing some Suzy Homemaker stuff before I finish up my sweater. Have a great day and hope this has been a good week for all of you and that this coming weekend will be even better. Continue to pray for Lorin, as he’s still out west living his dream, Linda and Jim as they are having a fun time in Toronto, Linda Lou as she continues to heal from her surgery, and for all the kids as they are getting prepared to start back to school in just a few short weeks. Love to all.
