The week just flew by….

I can’t honestly say I accomplished much this week but it has just flown by, evidently, since it’s Friday again.  I did manage to read a “just OK” book, clean on the “blue house”, water flowers that had to finally be replaced ’cause they were getting so ugly, hit & miss on cleaning our house, and keeping up with the constant flow of laundry….my life is so exciting I just had to share!  Not complaining ’cause I truly am a blessed woman and loving where I am with my life.

I was glad to hear that Lorin made it back home yesterday after his extended trip to the northwest mountains.  I know he had a great time, saw some beautiful sights that only God could create, caught up with some cousins, and even made friends with a chipmunk.  Welcome home, Lorin, now the fun of getting back to reality can begin…go mow the lawn, etc.!

Summer is coming to a close for the Crockett kids next week as they start back to school on Wednesday.  We are also going to get to have Ryan visit us a few days next week …they don’t start school until the following week…and we’re looking forward to that.  Then on the 30th we’ll be enjoying Clark and Vanessa for a couple of days…they are helping Lacey move back to Louisville from Burlington to start her career of a EMT/Paramedic.  We wish her much success and know she’ll do well.

We’ve had a really hot summer so I believe everyone is looking forward to some reduced heat and humidity…but not to the extreme cold of winter.  Fall is usually a really nice time for central Kentucky but it may not be this year since we haven’t had much rain this summer…time will tell.  Fall foliage is beautiful but it means the bleakness of winter is just around the corner.  The seasons come and go so quickly that we never have time to tire of any of them.

Guess I’ve rambled long enough so I’ll get busy doing something…need to find another good book as I’ve read all the ones I have or go find some pretty yarn I’d like to knit up…but those are both good things to do when winter does come around again.  Enjoy the rest of the Olympics…we watched some but certainly not a lot of them…and it’s amazing what people can put their bodies through and still survive.  Have a wonderful weekend and love to all.

Blessings………
