Happy Birthday Meredith….

Today we are celebrating a birthday…Meredith Page Crockett is now 14!!!  She’s an amazing girl and one that makes us all very proud with both her brains, talents, and beauty.  Happy, happy birthday, Meredith.  Love you bunches.

We had an amazing weekend with Clark, Vanessa, Scott, Allison, Turner, and Neyland here.  The twins are beyond adorable and growing like bad weeds.  Clark, George, Sean, Branden, and Daniel went fishing on Friday and caught almost nothing after they paddled their canoes upstream for over 3 miles…they said it was fun and they made some great memories.  Guess that’s all that matters.

Scott and his family got here in time for dinner on Friday night…total of 14 for dinner…and my Mexican mess was a hit!  Branden and Sean had to head back to Louisville for some birthday activities they needed to attend that night so they didn’t stay.  Saturday was just  another day of being together before we all headed to Louisville for yet another belated birthday celebration for Sean and his girlfriend, Teresa.  We all…less the Crockett’s that had other plans…met at Buca Di beppo for a great Italian meal and it was so delicious…sure would have loved to have eaten some of the  pasta dishes being passed around, but what I ate was delicious.  Madison came back home with us and she was the perfect playmate for the twins.  They all had so much fun being together and she was a perfect baby sitter.  We took her to Frankfort yesterday afternoon to meet her dad so she could go back home.  She’s such a sweet girl and her Mimi sure loves her!

One question for all to ponder…is it wrong to serve Popsicles before breakfast if  that was sweetly requested?  I personally think it’s OK but some parents can be rather narrow minded.  Just asking………  Fill free to voice your opinions but I really think I’m right on this one!

Things are rather quiet today and I’m trying to get caught up around here today before we tackle the “blue house” tomorrow.  The current guest are suppose to leave tomorrow afternoon and the next family comes in on Wednesday evening for 23 days so another thorough cleaning will have to be done to keep those dust bunnies out of all the corners, etc.

We were blessed with some good rain showers the last couple of days and we are so thankful…even if it was a holiday weekend.  We even had several rainbows to enjoy yesterday and they were all beautiful!!!  God continues to bless us far more than we deserve and he’s forever revealing himself to us through so many avenues.  All I can say is…thank you Lord for loving me like you do!

Guess I’d better get back to work.  Happy birthday Meredith and thanks to all our kids for coming to see us this past weekend…Carter and Lori you were missed!  I sure do love my family members and my biggest blessing continues to be George.  He’s so faithful and loving even when I put on my “Arnold/Mae” face.  Have a great week.  Love to all.

Blessings………
