Another fun weekend…

This past Friday, George and I went to Nashville to visit with my sister Linda along with her husband Jim.  They are always so gracious and fun to be with.  Friday evening we went out to eat at an Italian restaurant for dinner…yummy…then we walked around the Green Hills Mall for a little bit.  We were impressed by the many high-end retail stores they have there…couldn’t afford to shop at most of them even if I had wanted to do so…but it was fun looking at what others buy.

On Saturday, I went to a baby shower…our reason for going to Nashville…for Sara Black Craddock.  She and Brandon are expecting a girl in November and that sweet baby girl will not want for something to wear, or book to read, for a very long time.  We were all ask to bring some sort of children’s book in place of a card…a really great idea I thought…and she now has a “library”.  We can’t wait to meet “Evelyn” and know she will be a blessing to all their family and many friends.

After the shower, George and I went over to meet one of his cousins we haven’t seen in almost 40 years.  Luther and Ana were so special to us when we were newlyweds and they are still special today.  We will do a better job of staying in contact from now on…at least I hope we will.  We also got to spend time with Jim, Danna, Zane, Emma, Lawrence, Linda, Buddy, Carter, and Lori.  We were thankful to get to spend a little time with each one of them and they all are well and seemingly happy!

Carter and Lori were in town looking at houses…they are moving to Nashville and have to be out of their Dallas home on October 12 +/-…so that was a big plus for us…haven’t heard if they have decided on their dream house yet.  I don’t envy them having to go through all of  this again since they did all this just a year ago.  We will be glad to have them a little closer and will hopefully get to see them a little more often.  Happy hunting to you both!

Today has been an amazing day with perfect weather.  I love the days I can turn the AC off and open the windows.  We have some hot weather headed our way, but I doubt it will compare to what we’ve had for the better part of the summer.  Thank you Lord for blessing us with today.

Nothing of interest to write about so guess I’ll get back to my knitting.  May each of you reading this blog, have a great week and may you do some act of kindness each day that will be showing Jesus to the world.  Love to all!

Blessings………
