It appears that fall has arrived a little early this year but it’s a welcome relief from the excessive heat of summer. Of course, I dread the thoughts of winter being in the relatively near future but know we’ll survive even that…I just hate COLD weather.
We are both doing well and seem to stay busy with our many on going projects. Currently, George is working on learning how to turn wood and has made some really pretty bowls, pens, etc. He’s given away a lot of his pieces, but they are certainly good enough to sell should he want to do so. Now that he’s getting better I’m hearing rumbles of needing an even bigger piece of equipment to make even bigger bowls, etc. Tools are a never ending desire for a new woodworker!
I am still working on my sweater and it’s turning out really nice. I haven’t been pushing to hard in getting it completed ’cause I don’t want to get my shoulder to start acting up again. We are both taking a pottery class and that has proven to be lots of fun…some of my pieces are a lot like “modern” art, no real design or shape but should be OK once they’re finished. Guess we’ll see!
Not much happening around here as of late. We’re planning on going to Louisville on Monday afternoon to watch Madi play in her final volleyball game and then watch Tyler play in his baseball game after that. We do miss getting to see the Louisville grandchildren play in their different sports but we’re thankful for the ones we do get to see. Distance is always a problem, even if it is only 70 miles!
Carter and Lori are headed to Italy to do some early celebrating…his 50th birthday, her 40th, and their 5th anniversary. I know this will be a fantastic 10 days and we can’t wait to hear all about it. Happy birthdays and anniversary to you both! They will get back from Italy just a week, or so, before they move back to Nashville. ..thank goodness Regions is moving them again. They have purchased a beautiful new house…after selling their Dallas home is just six days…and we are thrilled for them. Happy traveling and moving!!!  This is one sure way to always have clean cabinets and closets…move once a year! Love you both.
Lacey has passed all her boards, after having moved back to Louisville, and is now a certified EMT/Paramedic and working for the University of Louisville Hospital presently…may have changed but that’s the latest I’ve heard. Congratulations, Lacey!
Far as I know, the other family members are all well…I don’t ask a lot of questions though…and staying busy with living life. Guess that’s about the extent of what I know so guess I’ll knit a couple more rows before I decide to do something more productive…like read a few chapters from the books I’ve started. Enjoy the fall y’all. Love to all.
Blessings….
