We arrived home safely early yesterday afternoon to some bitterly cold weather…however, the sun was shining so that helped. The trip home was uneventful but long…between 16 – 17 hours of travel time. Now to get everything put away and back to whatever normal is suppose to look like. I truly enjoyed the seven weeks we were there but not sure we’ll have that opportunity next year. Our landlord is going to retire and will be there during the winter months. We had such a sweet deal and it will be hard to find another place at that price.  We have enjoyed the church we went to in Sarasota and met some really nice people…we will miss not seeing them too.Â
The Glenmary gangster didn’t get as much loot as previously thought. They did take all my gold and silver chains, all the rings, and a couple of bracelets. I’m thankful they came while we were out of town and I had most of my good pieces of jewelry with me. Sure hope they can catch them. Since they left the back door open and the COLD air was coming in, a plant I got from ACU when Tanya was born was killed. That plant was 34 years old and still growing! I can only imagine what our utility bill will be. Jim JR is going to be here some of this week and was here when we got home. He took us to dinner last night to one of my favorite restaurants here in Louisville. Now if we can just gets his schedule to be the same as the “Glenmary Gangster’s” ,  I’ll feel better and safer.  Jim is always a joy to have around and we’re thankful he’s willing to come here.Â
Melissa and her family left Louisville for Orlando yesterday afternoon so we are dog sitting. Pal is quite the watch dog and barks at Jim every time he comes into a room. Since George might go to New Orleans with a group of guys from church this next week, I’m glad to have Pal here to alert me to any future visits from the Glenmary gangsters…should Jim not be here.
It’s suppose to snow today, 1-4 inches depending on which TV station you’re listening to, and I’m hoping they’re all wrong. I’m a warm weather, go to the beach, type lady! Oh well, spring is just around the corner I’m sure. Yikes!!!…I just looked out and it is snowing!
