Gloomy Tuesday morning….

Well…I did something this morning I really didn’t expect I’d have to do in September.  I turned on the heat for a few minutes!  It is only 61 degrees inside the house with a light rain falling outside and no hope of any sunshine for now…so I flipped the switch to “heat”.  I won’t leave it on long, but  since I’m wearing a sweater along with my shirt and I’m still cold, I felt it was the right thing to do.  The heat didn’t stay on long as I’ve already turned it off…just needed to get the chill out of here.  We are currently having a really good lightning and thunderstorm and the lights keep blinking off/on.  Gotta love the weather in KY!

Yesterday George and I went to Louisville to watch Madi and Tyler play in their different sports.  Madi was so disappointed she did not get to play in her volleyball game since we were there, but her team won both matches and we enjoyed watching them…a first for me.  We’ll watch for her next year and know she’ll definitely be on the starting lineup.  She plays for her middle school and since she’s only in the 6th grade, they used the older girls ’cause they were playing a tough team.  Tyler played baseball after that and he did very well at every position he played.  In fall ball, they can only play a position for two innings, so he was a catcher and also played shortstop…he’s a natural at baseball and piano.  They also only play for 90 minutes, or six innings, so the games are over fast!  It was fun getting to see Melissa, Byron, and three of the Gabehart kids and we were back home by 10:15 p.m…a fun day for sure.  We got to spend a few minutes with Kyle but never got to see Ryan since he had stuff going on after school.  They are all growing up so fast and we are very proud of each of  all our grandkids.

Guess I’d better get some “Susie homemaker” stuff done so I can get back to my knitting, or book reading.  Life is rough for this OLD lady but I sure am enjoying it.  Have a great day!  Love to all.

Blessings………..
