We are once again home after having made a lot of fun memories in Gulf Shores that we will get to enjoy the rest of our lives. Turner and Neyland loved the beach…Neyland the water while Turner the sand…and both loved finding shells to share with all of us. They were so good the entire time, regardless of what we were doing, and always full of energy. I had some really good shrimp…some ate oysters on the half-shell (YUCKY)…while there. Yummy, yummy, yummy for the shrimp!!! I fix shrimp here at home but it’s never as good as what I had there. Thank you Scott and Allison for letting us share your vacation.
Yesterday (Wednesday) Scott enjoyed his birthday and I feel sure he felt celebrated and loved by the end of the day. Tuesday night, George and I, got to have the boys all to ourselves and that was so special…date night for their mom/dad…and they were so good and generally easy to handle. They love to play, be read to, and work puzzles. Scott, you are so special to me and I am proud of you and thankful for you. May this be another very good year for you and your sweet family. Happy, happy birthday one day late!!!
Carter and Lori are on their way to Nashville to move into their new home and we know this will be a very busy next few weeks for them. We are thrilled they are closer and pray this will be another good situation for them both. Carter will be traveling a lot with his work and Lori is hoping to find a new job once they are settled. Love you both and pray the move is going well.
Clark got another promotion at work so he’s busier than ever. Vanessa will be flying to Texas this weekend to spend some time with her folks while her dad recovers from having shoulder surgery. Please pray for Dwayne ’cause a shoulder replacement is not an easy procedure from what I hear.
The Crockett’s are expected home this afternoon after a week at Disney World. From what we hear, they had a great time and loved everything they did. They even got to speak to Paula Dean…the “southern” cook on TV…while in the Atlanta airport. Life is good for them!!!
The Gabehart’s are also doing well, as far as we know, and they, too, stay busy, busy, busy. Life is flying by for all of us and we are all far to busy living our hectic lives to enjoy what’s important at times. Guess that’s good as that seems to be how we all like to live!!!
Need to get busy and get my walk in for today…didn’t walk once while at the beach…now that it’s warmed up a bit. It was 31 when we got up and that was just a tad to cold for me to go walk…my brave husband went and said it was chilly! Can’t wait for spring to return ’cause I really do dislike cold weather!
Have a great weekend. I think we’re going to Berea, KY…about 40 miles from here…to visit their art/craft fair Saturday and see what other people are buying. I seldom buy anything ’cause I don’t need anything but I do enjoy going to them.
Thanks again Scott and Allison for all the laughs and special things you did to make our time with you so fun. Hugs to all!
Blessings……..
