Fall is definitely a beautiful season with all the trees changing into the many brilliant colors.  Kentucky is having a spectacular show of color this year along with the cool days…and even cooler nights…helping to make life really good for now. I will choose to live in denial that winter will be here before long and just enjoy today! Thank you, Lord, for showing your handiwork once again.
George and I continue to stay busy…he in his workshop and I with my knitting projects…and both of us work at keeping up with the “blue house” chores and guest. After this month, we will definitely be in a much slower mode so we plan on doing a little traveling. We are looking forward to visiting with Mom and Dad the last week of this month (10/28 – 11/4)..only in Abilene 4 or 5 days, then George and Tanya will be doing the 40th birthday father/daughter celebration a few days after we get home, then a quick trip to Birmingham, AL on 11/17 to attend Lori’s son’s (Curtis) wedding, be back home for a couple of days before we head for Wisconsin for Thanksgiving, and we’ll wrap up November with a few days visiting with Ron and Jean Like in Galena, IL. We’ll be ready to stay home for a while after all that. We only have Thanksgiving week rented at the “blue house” so it’s worked out well for us. December is also a slow month, but that’s OK as we have about doubled what we thought we’d do for our second year of being open. We continue to be amazed and thankful for this blessing.
Tomorrow (Friday) we are going to Louisville to visit a couple of friends that are under the weather. Lovell Richardson is in the hospital after having surgery yesterday. He’s doing well and hopes to get home by Saturday. Also, our friend Patty Puleo is in a real struggle to win her battle with cancer and we want to spend a little time with her. Please pray for both of these special people. We’ll also work in a time for lunch with Melissa and maybe a quick hello to the Gabehart kids can be worked in…their schedules are busier than ours, especially on a Friday night.
Guess that’s about all I know for now. Have a great weekend, enjoy the fall colors, and pray for those that are in need of prayer…guess we all are! Love to all.
Blessings……..
