The last several days have been absolutely gorgeous here in Kentucky and we have loved having Indian Summer weather. Well…that has all ended with the current cold front that moved in late this afternoon. All I can say is…I really prefer warm over cool, cold, bitter cold, or whatever comes our way any day! Oh well, guess I’d better adjust since it will only get worse for the next several month before it gets better. The fall colors has been breathtaking this year and it’s so amazing watching God show His handiwork to us each day. I am thankful for the changing of the seasons, in spite of my comments about cold weather. I still don’t like winter but it’s not all about me and what I like or want!
We’re looking forward to our upcoming visit with Mom and Dad and would appreciate your prayers for our safe travels, etc. during this next week. We will also have a brief visit with Carter and Lori so we can check out their new home. This is a busy time for them with their getting resettled, new job for Lori, and new position for Carter…along with Lori’s son getting married on 11/17.  Glad life continues to be full of surprises! Guess that what keeps ya young!
We have guest at the “blue house” this weekend and for the rest of the year it’s going to be rather slow…as compared to what it’s been like the last several months. We do have a few days booked for November and December but the busy time is over for this year. We have had a fantastic year and feel so blessed to have this avenue of meeting some really neat people, additional income, and a means to keep us away from “boredom”. Wonder what 2013 will bring as we already have several weeks booked throughout the first half of the year. Yippy!!!!
Vanessa is still in Texas helping her parents while her dad recovers from his surgery…think she will be home by Thanksgiving. If not, we will miss her as we will be at her home visiting with Clark while eating lots of turkey. We continue to pray for each of them as surgery is never fun. One might even get cranky at times from what I hear. Keep up the good work, Vanessa! As for all the other family member, they are all doing well as far as we know. Madi is over her mono and Byron his pink eye. Of course, I learned a long time ago to NOT ask a lot of questions!
Time to watch the UofL football game so I’m closing for now. Have a great weekend and I’ll be back in about 10 days. Love to all!
Blessings………
