Home and ready for 2013!….

We left Scott and Allison’s yesterday morning and it was really cold!  There was snow on the ground…several inches…for the first couple of hours of our trip home but we soon drove out of it and all the interstate roads were clear…thankfully.  We made some great memories while there and to say the boys are fun is a definite understatement. Christmas was a very fun time and we cherish our time with them!

Turner and Neyland were both coerced into giving their “BB’s” (aka pacifiers) to Santa on Christmas eve so he could deliver them to some babies that need one for their Christmas.  They were so brave until reality set in.  Before the night was over they were declaring they no longer even liked Santa and wanted their BB’s back.  It was sad for them but the parents were strong and didn’t give in.  They were both on the “sick” side so that didn’t help the situation at all…they went to the doctor yesterday and one has bronchitis and the other a sinus infection.   Poor babies!!!!  They are still asking about the BB’s…want to be reassured that the babies are appreciating the sacrifices they made for them…but they really are adjusting to being without them and they’re definitely old enough to give them up.  The BB’s sure make bedtime a lot easier though…and another part of babyhood is over…but it was time.  They are so smart and both have great personalities so every moment was a fun one.  To say they had a BIG Christmas is also an understatement.  They got so many toys, etc.  It was hard to decide which toy to play with next and for how long…but they did have some favorites they would go back to…but everything was being enjoyed at some point.

Potty training is also a fun stage and they are doing well with this too…occasionally an accident happens and it’s always the worse kind!  They are going to be three (3) in February and that’s a real fun year…much more strong willed and definitely more verbal.  The years are just flying by and they will be grown before we know it…just like all the other grand kids.

George and I are looking forward to another good year and we continue to be blessed so much more than we deserve.  We already have several bookings at the “blue house” for 2013 and we’ll be looking for many more as the months roll along.  This year we booked over 200 days and that was twice what we did the year before, so we pray we will do that well again in 2013.  We both remain well…for OLD folks…happy and sassy! Notice I left out FAT but that applies, too!

May each of you have a blessed, happy, and healthy New Year.  Also, continue to be aware of how the  Lord is loving you, blessing you, and protecting you throughout this new year.  Stay warm and I’ll be back soon.  Love to all!

Blessings….
