Today was our last time at the Central church and we really enjoyed our time with them. George did his usual great job of teaching the Sunday school class and they said they hope he’ll be back next year…we’ll have to see about that. They are a good group of people and many are struggling to survive but they do seem to be a caring group.
George did his “stupid trick” yesterday by having a bike wreck. He said he was doing something with his I-pod and lost control of his bike. His left arm is quite banged up…has large bandages from his forearm to the top of his arm…and a gash on his ankle, along with several other areas of bumps and bruises.  Thankfully, there are no broken bones…just a badly bruised ego! Maybe he’ll believe me now that you don’t drive/ride while being preoccupied with something else.Â
Our dinner party last night ended up with only one of the three couples being able to come. The elder and his wife cancelled just a couple of hours before time to be here…she’s sick and is still sick today. They think it’s her gall bladder and will continue to do some more testing this week.  Pray for Pat and that she will soon be well. The lasagna, salad, bread, and cake were all good and we have lots left over. I didn’t cook one of the lasagnas so it’s currently in the freezer. I’ll either take it home or leave it for the next family coming in. Regardless of the number, we had a good time with Ron and Brenda and enjoyed getting to know them a little better.
We’re going back up to Sarasota this evening to spend time with George’s cousins. Like I’ve mentioned before…they are fun but Sophia is special!
This is our last week and I will really miss this sunshine. Hopefully all the ice, snow, and cold will be gone by Saturday. Come quickly Spring!!!
Blessings…….
