Yesterday we made a quick trip to Louisville and that was so much fun. We went to early church before we headed out and we were blessed with another great service. We got to Louisville in time for lunch and Melissa had a delicious meal prepared…ham, my favorite, and all the fixings…and it was enjoyed by all. We were disappointed we didn’t get to see Ryan…he was working….but the other three are doing well..well sort of.  Madi has a cast on her left ankle since she broke it, and sprung it making for a double wammy, at volleyball practice this past Monday and will be out until the second week of April. She’s hoping to get in just enough games to qualify for any tournament games that might be coming up. So we will all be praying for quick healing. Kyle and Tyler are both heavy into baseball as they are both playing on multiple teams…Tyler on four and Kyle on two.  Of course, Melissa and Byron are doing well but they stay busy with work and keeping up with the kids schedules. Makes me tired just hearing about all they do.
While in Louisville yesterday, we also went to the Governor’s Cup Academic events that Jerod is participating in. He’s on his high school’s quick recall team and they won both of their matches! Today they will compete again and then the awards will be presented by the governor this afternoon. It amazes me all these kids know and how quickly they can spit it out. Congrats to Jerod and his team as they are all brilliant!
We are being overwhelmed with rain, currently, along with rather cold weather which I am so tired of. Spring is coming, I know, but it won’t be here this week. Rain will bring the spring flowers, if they don’t drown, so I will remain thankful…and hopeful. Trouble is…it’s to cold and wet to be planting any annuals and the perennials are hugging the ground…so we are blessed with dreary, gloomy days…said with a whiny voice!
Got to go do my exercises for my shoulder before we head to the “blue house” and get it all ready for our next round of guest. The next several weeks are going to be really busy and for that we are thankful. Pray for Vanessa as she’s still experiencing pain, Blake as he’s sick with a virus, Madi for healing, and for us all to stay close to the Lord in all we do each day. Love to all.
Blessings……..
