We left home this past Wednesday heading for Atoka, aka “the twins”, and ended up in Abilene, Texas. Â Scott and Allison have been wanting to introduce the boys to their great-grandparents and invited us to tag along so on Thursday morning we headed out for the nice LONG ride.
My parents had no clue we were coming, so they were a tad surprised when we knocked on their door around 9 pm Thursday night. Â Of course the boys were the best surprise…mom said she was afraid she’d never get to see them. Â We had a good trip down and the twins were so good and are great little travelers. Â We’ll be headed back home in the morning so we’ll see if it goes as well on the return trip…they are rather worn out at the present…but so are we! Â They are young…we are old…but the results of travel equals tired behinds regardless of age!!!
We  haven’t done much since we got here except eat…Zookini’s for lunch yesterday and Perini’s for lunch today…Scott even treated us today so life continues to be good.  We did a little shopping yesterday as mom said she’d like a new white skirt and dad needed a new pair of pants.  We were successful finding both at Kohl’s, along with a new yellow purse, so all are Happy, Happy, Happy.  I helped mom change out her winter clothes for her summer clothes this morning but that’s about the extent of what I’ve done since I got here.  Glad I won’t be accused of working all the while I was here…that’s Linda’s job anyway.  It’s a real short visit but better than no visit and we hope to get back before to long.
I’ll be back once we get home. Â Please pray for our safe travel and we’re doing the happy dance since spring has sprung. Â Love to all…
Blessings…..
