We were blessed to have Linda and Jim…my baby sister and her husband…come visit us for a couple of days and we enjoyed them immensely. They got here Tuesday night so we didn’t do anything that day, but on Wednesday morning we headed to Cincinnati. We went to the Reds/Braves ball game and during the game, we went from fearing the rain to burning up in the sun! Regardless, it was a fun time and, unfortunately, the Braves won 7-2 which made Linda happy ’cause that made Michael happy. They love those Atlanta boys for some crazy reason! We stopped on our way home for dinner and they treated us to a really good dinner of ribs…I had a salad with grilled scallops and it was very yummy!
Yesterday we did some antiquing in None-Such, KY and in Versailles, KY. Linda bought a small picture frame for a whopping $1.75 and I bought nothing. We did enjoy lunch at a nice restaurant in Versailles and it was a beautiful day so it made for another fun time of making memories. We went into Lexington after dinner to watch some of Grayson’s game and they slaughtered some poor team in baseball. Thank goodness for the mercy rules!!! Glad for Grayson but you do feel sorry for those other kids. Oh well, got to learn how to loose as well as learn to be a gracious winner.
Unfortunately, they had to get back home so they left for Nashville this morning…grand daughter Emma has a dance recital tonight. We’ll also be going to a dance recital tonight to watch Meredith along with LOTS of others perform. Tomorrow we’re going to Bowling Green, KY to see grand son Chance Ezell graduate from Western Kentucky University. We’re looking forward to seeing him and visiting with those that will be attending his party afterwards. Grand kids grow up so fast but we are always thankful for all they accomplish.
On the 25th, I think that’s the date, we’ll be going to Louisville to watch Madison in a track meet. As a 6th grader, she has qualified for the 100m and the 200m at the state competition level! She’s up against kids a lot older than her but she’ll do well and gain lots of experience…she’s really FAST!
Guess it’s time for me to go run the blower ’cause George is about finished mowing the yard and rain is coming once again…rains every weekend anymore.
Have a great weekend and love to all!
Blessings………
