Fun time….

The last couple of days have been so fun!  On Thursday evening we drove to Nashville to see another “Token’s” show and it was so good!  We were surprised when I got a text telling me that Linda and Jim were also there.  We were spending the night with them so the fact they got tickets at the last minute was so special.  On Friday we drove over to Lawrence, Linda, and Buddy’s to enjoy lunch with them…been ages since we’ve done that…and then went to their house for a little while before we headed back to Linda and Jim’s.  Friday night we got to hear Zane…Linda/Jim’s grandson…play his violin in his school’s concert.  MOST middle school concerts are rather lacking, but this one was excellent.  They had a couple of former students that played one selection that was wonderful and very moving!  It always amazes me how much talent is out there and at such young ages.  After the concert we all..Jim, Danna, Zane, Emma plus the four of us…went back to Linda/Jim’s for homemade strawberry pie and coffee.  EXCELLENT!!!  A very full but fun day.  Saturday morning we went into Franklin, TN for breakfast at a very nice place called Merri Dee’s and we went away stuffed.  Now we needed to do get some exercise to help work off that big breakfast…so we did some “antiquing” but not a penny was spent.  Fun to look but couldn’t find anything I couldn’t live without.  Oh well, maybe next time.

Linda and Jim had two weddings to attend on Saturday afternoon so off they went to get ready for those while we headed to Carter and Lori’s.  They were having a small farewell party for Chase as he will be going into the Army in 1 1/2 weeks for a five year commitment.  We wish him well, hope he learns a lot, and stays safe always!  Love you Chase and we’ll be praying for you.  After the party…we were the first to leave…we headed for home and got home around 11:45 p.m. so another full day was enjoyed.  Thanks to all those we got to spend some time with and especially Linda and Jim for their continued hospitality.  Love to all of you!

Today will be another usual day…church, lunch, laundry, working in the workshop (George), and reading.  May go and get me some “special” yarn and try to make a scarf like Linda Lou is making…really pretty but a very different type of knitting.  More on the scarf later since I’m not sure I can master it.

Have a great week and enjoy the beautiful spring flowers.  Love to all.

Blessings………..
