We just got back from the Regional Academic Competition event here in Jessamine County and  Jerod was the one we had gone to see shine. He came in second in the language arts division for this region…and missed being first by just one point…and we couldn’t be more proud of him. Way to go JEROD!!! Our grand-kids are all so smart and really make the rest of us wish we had applied ourselves a little more when we were in school.
Tomorrow is going to be another chilly Easter day in KY. It’s suppose to get down in the 20’s tonight and only in the 40’s tomorrow…the Easter egg hunt will be a quick one for sure. Let’s just hope the rain holds off until night time.
We had a great time with Linda and Jim while they were here…they are lots of fun and so each to entertain. They came in on Wednesday afternoon but we didn’t do anything until Thursday. I had the Crockett’s for dinner on Wednesday, so they could spend some time with them, and that was a fun time. Then on Thursday, we had a very light breakfast before we headed out to see the sights in the Wilmore area, then we headed to Shakertown for lunch…about 12 miles from here…and that was a very yummy meal…our reason for the light breakfast…then went by the fort in Harrodsburg but decided not to tour it so we just peeked in before heading to Frankfort to the state capital building…very interesting to see the House in session. Then we headed back home to Wilmore. Tanya had us all over for a delicious dinner with them that evening…so, it was a full day. Friday we walked around our town area…all one block of it…before they headed back to Nashville. It took a long time for them to get home because of traffic but they did make it home safely. At least the return trip was with sunshine…the trip here was in very heavy rain all the way!
Let’s all praise and worship our Lord and Savior on this special week-end. Aren’t we glad that the Lord is alive and active today?  I long for his return!
Blessings……..Â
