A really fun day….

Yesterday was a full day with lots to enjoy.  We started our day by going to the early church service and, as usual, we were blessed to have been there.  We came home…didn’t eat out which is a rarity for us…so we could get ready for our neighborhood block party being held in our backyard later that afternoon.  Once those jobs were done, we headed back to Lexington for Grayson’s ballgame.  Grayson’s team pulled it off but it was nip n’ tuck for the entire game.  We got home with one hour to spare before time for our guest to start arriving.  Not all the neighbors came…some were out of town and some just didn’t come…but we had a good crowd and everyone seemed to have enjoyed being together.  We have some really great people living around us and, even though many years younger than we are, we do enjoy spending time together.  I bet all the kids slept like logs after jumping on the trampoline for almost the entire time they were here!  The corn hole game was also a big hit.

Today is such a beautiful day with quite a lot of sunshine but cool temperatures…only in the 70’s today!  We have guest coming to the “blue house” this afternoon and look forward to meeting them.  In fact, this entire month is booked except for five (5) days…Yeah for the “blue house”!!!  We still enjoy this opportunity and should we tire of it, I guess we’ll just sell it and then be really retired!!!

Guess I need to get back to some of my “suzy homemaker” chores so I can knit and/or read later today.  Have a great week and let’s all send a BIG congratulations to Ryan on his graduation this Thursday and to us on our 51st anniversary on Saturday…going to be celebrating in Cincinnati and know it will be a great time.  God really has blessed me with a fantastic husband, children and in-law children, along with 15 beautiful grandchildren.  Love to all…

Blessings………
