Let there be rain…lots of rain…

We received LOTS of rain last night…several inches in fact…and we even had flash flood warnings here in little ole Wilmore.  Everything this morning looks so bright and pretty and we are seeing no signs of damage around our place.  It did bring down trees, etc. in some parts of Lexington but not our part.  It’s going to continue to be hot and humid through tomorrow and then it’ll be only in the high 70’s for a day or so before we get back to HOT.  Gotta love summer time!

Not much happening around here for now.  We will be going to another Cincinnati Reds game on the 4th…that’s always a fun time…but we don’t have much else on our calendar for July except keeping up with the “blue house”.  We will have several birthdays to celebrate…more on these on the special days…but that’s about all.  Clark and Vanessa are currently traveling in S.D. and said it’s beautiful there.  So glad he’s finally taking time to enjoy life and not working his normal 60 + hour week.  Chase is surviving boot camp and I know that has to be hard!  Ryan has been at UofL for his freshman orientation the last couple of days and that will end tonight.  Hope he’ll find college to be all he’s expecting it to be…usually it’s a lot more than we ever imagined!  As for all the other family members…they are all doing well as far as I know.

George continues to create wooden objects in his workshop while I’m doing some knitting/crocheting in the house…oh, the life of the retired!  We both find pleasure and enjoyment in our crafty ways and, I guess, that’s always a good thing.

Guess that’s about all the boring news I have to share for now.  Have a blessed day, do some act of kindness, and tell someone you love them.

Blessings….
