Beautiful day in the neighborhood…

Hard to believe it’s the 13th of July and it’s only in the upper 60’s this morning.  In fact, George had to put on a light jacket while sitting on the front porch!  It’s going to warm up later, and the humidity will return, but for now…IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD!!!

Not much happening around Wilmore so all is well.  The Crockett’s are out of town so we are dog sitting until tomorrow evening.  Sugar isn’t any trouble, thankfully, but she is missing her family and she provides some excitement to our feral cat, occasionally.  As for all our other family members…guessing all is well since we aren’t hearing anything differently.

It won’t be long until we’ll be heading to Texas for several days and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone.  I seriously doubt we’ll have these cool days while there but that’s OK since everywhere we’ll be is air conditioned.

No news of interest so guess I’ll crochet for awhile while George fixes our lawn mower…I am doing some laundry currently and have cleaned the bathrooms so my day is somewhat productive.  Something broke, or quite working, on the mower yesterday while he was mowing at the “blue house”.  George is a good neighbor, too, and mows the yard across the street for the two ladies that live there…one is rather disabled and the second is in Yellowstone National Park for the summer on some type of mission program through the Asbury Seminary.  Our own yard will need mowing soon so he has to fix the problem, or get it fixed.  Oh the joy of summer!

Enjoy your weekend and know you are loved!

Blessings…………..
