Last week we were burning up with heat and humidity…today the AC is off, windows are open, and it’s currently only 64 with a high of 80 and LOW humidity.  This has been a really strange July for central Kentucky but we really are NOT complaining. We’ve had a lot more rain than usual, many very comfortable days, and the grass is still green!
It won’t be long until we will be headed to Texas to see the folks and to witness the marriage of our niece, Victoria. We’re looking forward to seeing family members that we haven’t seen in ages and know lots of good…and maybe not so good…memories will be made.
Summer has really flown by and it wont be long before all the grand kids are back in school. The old saying really is true that the older one gets the fast time flies! We continue to stay busy and we’ve had a very busy summer with the “blue house” guest coming and going. We are thrilled with being almost filled every month and know we are being blessed far more that we deserve in so many areas of our lives.
There’s not much news so guess I’ll go find something to do so I can feel productive. I can always knit/crochet and that counts. It does count, doesn’t it? I’m current knitting a hat that I bought the yarn for last year while in on our trip with Ron and Jean. It’s a really an unusual design but it’s coming together well. I hope someone will enjoy it since I generally don’t like hats…too hot for me!..but this one just may stay with me.
We’re planning a quick trip out to see Ron and Jean in September and that will be lots of fun. They are such precious people and we became instant friends several years ago while we were all vacationing in Florida. We’re also going to meet Carter and Lori in Gulf Shores sometime that month and spend a few days on the beach. Her folks will be there, too, and it will be nice getting to know them better. We don’t have a definite date just yet but we were told September looks like the best time for all of us.
