Lunch with Geri and Carol

It was so nice visiting with Geri and Carol today and catching up on what’s been going on with them the last few months.  Carol has recently had surgery and is still in the recovery process but seems to be doing well.  She starts back to work next week.  Geri is still recovering from the very serious car accident she had last May but she’s progressing right along…she’s very blessed to have lived through it and she’s a firm believer that she was saved for a reason.  Both these ladies are strong Christians and have a good relationship with God, so, we had a lot to talk about.

We actually had sunshine today but it never got very warm.  Tomorrow it’s going to be ever cooler but no rain is predicted.  Then rain is scheduled for the remainder of the week along with the cool temperatures.  I guess we’ll just by-pass spring/warm days and go right to HOT in a few weeks.

We had a really good Bible study last night and it was so good seeing everyone…we even had a couple of new ladies join us and, hopefully, they will become regulars.  We’re studying the book of Mark so there’s lots of good stuff to talk about each time we meet.  We’ll meet again in two weeks.

We were able to get to Louisville in time to eat dinner with the Gabehart’s and it was good seeing them…Byron even bought our dinner.  THANKS AGAIN, BYRON!!!  The kids are so sweet and Madi is really getting excited about her birthday this coming Sunday.  She was even more excited that her dad was going with her today on her school field trip.  Of course, she woke up sick during the night but felt better by school time, so they were able to go.  She did leave school early because of fever, but she at least had that special time with her dad.  Kyle wasn’t feeling well Sunday and Monday, so I guess they are passing a bug around…so are the Crockett’s.  It’s so nice when a family enjoys sharing so much!  Hope they don’t share with us though!

We’re suppose to do some trail walking tomorrow with the Crockett’s at Shakertown…a very pretty part of KY and it’s only 12 miles from here…and that will be a fun time.  We’re taking a picnic lunch and eating out on the trail so memories will again be made.  Of course, Meredith has a hurt leg so it may get exciting before we get home.  She fell Sunday and really did hurt herself and now it’s slightly infected so she’s on an antibiotic.

Enjoy your evening…I’ve got to go and watch “Idol”.

Blessings……….
