George has finished painting the carriage house and it looks great. He’s also added a lot of shelving for all his tools , etc. and will eventually get me some shelves for storage of treasures I’m not ready to part with yet. He will eventually make him a work bench in there so he can do whatever you need to do when you have a work bench.
I started washing windows today and boy what a job. I did 10 sets of windows and have several more to do…ten more with storm windows so I’m saying 20 more to do! The ones I did today are located in the washroom (6) and a closet /small storage room (4) off of George’s office. They look so nice and we will be having all the screens redone…current screens are so old they are falling apart…so we will be able to open the windows now that the weather is getting warmer. I hope to have all the windows done before we go to Texas next week. That may not be possible since we’ll have the Gabehart kids this weekend and rain is once again headed our way. This is a job that I don’t enjoy but I sure enjoy the benefit of getting it done. I only do this once a year…or less…so dirty windows don’t bother me too much.
Grayson had to have a medical procedure done yesterday to see if he has a reflux problem…well, he doesn’t but he does have a lot of inflammation, etc. so they will be doing some allergy testing on Monday to see if it’s a food allergy that’s causing his problems. He’s a terrific patient and is really brave when it comes to all those needles, etc.
I’m bushed so guess I’ll close for now. I continue to enjoy my daily Bible study time…studying John, along with two other devotional books and a book by Beth Moore called Jesus the one and only…and I’m also reading a good book about Mary, the mother of Jesus, written by Francine Rivers. She’s such an excellent author and really brings the biblical characters to life.
Have a good weekend and I will try and write while the kids are here but I feel my chances of doing so are slim…I’m out of practice for four!
Blessings……
