Yesterday we got to enjoy celebrating Halloween…albeit one day late…and it was an absolutely perfect evening. Â The crowd was large, the kids were adorable, and the weather was perfect. Â On the actual day of Halloween, the weather was rainy, extremely windy, and just to risky for all those little ones to be out…good call on the postponement. Â Now onward towards Thanksgiving!
My dad is once again in the hospital with heart related issues but is, hopefully, going to go home tonight or tomorrow. Â What he needs is open heart surgery but that is not an option considering his age and general health. Â We are praying that the new nitro based medicine he’s being given will help and he will be pain free for the most part. Â As stated some time back…growing old is certainly not for sissies! Â Mom is doing well but is tired and worried about dad so, please, pray for both of them! Â It won’t be long until we will be going down to Texas for Thanksgiving and we’re looking forward to that.
We were able to “face time” the twins on Halloween and they were so cute in their costumes…spiderman for Turner and Buzz Light Year for Neyland…and they were so excited about all the candy they had gotten. Â All these special holiday’s are so fun when you have young ones around!
We had hoped we’d get to have Madi come and spend the weekend with us but it all fell through. Â She is such a sweetie but quite strong willed at times…not always for her own good…and is now suffering the consequences of that. Â Maybe she’ll be able to come before to long. Â As the kids get older and busy in sports, etc., it’s hard for them to find the time to come stay with us. Â We miss their visits but we are thankful for them and their busy lives.
Well, it’s official….we’re going to Florida for the last week, or so, of December and the month of January. Â We haven’t been the last three years, so we are thrilled to get back on the beach! Â Let’s hope this year the weather will be warm and not the unusual cold we had the last year we were there.
Our next door neighbor, Trisha, will start her radiation this next week and is ready to get this all behind her. Â She knows it won’t be a fun ride, but knowing you “might” still have some cancer cells hiding somewhere is even worse.
Guess that’s it for today! Â So thankful for the sunshine, even though it’s only in the 40’s, and praising God for a new day. Â Love to all!
Blessings…..
