We got up early this morning…4:45 a.m. to be exact…so we could head for home. Both our flight to Dallas and then on into Louisville were very pleasant. That is sure a great way to travel…a few hours vs. two days in a car/van and I’ll take the few hours most any time. It’s a lot easier on this OLD body!
Melissa met us at the airport with her dog Pal and I can honestly say that Pal was the most excited to see us of the two. He loves family! We took Melissa to the Fifth Quarter restaurant for a birthday lunch and that was fun. Scallops were the featured item…this is at a steak house but I had steak in Texas…so Melissa and I ate those along with the salad bar, and it was very good meal. That restaurant has a wonderful salad bar, George dined on that.Â
We headed for home after lunch and it’s good to be home. We both feel tired but we can honestly say we enjoyed our time with my folks and we’re glad we were able to go. We ate lots, played many games of Texas 42…we are no longer the champs…and just enjoyed being together.
Tomorrow is my parents 69th wedding anniversary. CONGRATULATIONS, MOM AND DAD!!!  May you have many more!Â
Got to go watch American Idol so enjoy your evening.
Blessings……..
