Here it is less than two weeks until Christmas and WE haven’t been to the mall one time. Â For whatever reason, I just can’t seem to get in the spirit of Christmas this year. Â Part of my problem is…we have gotten no list of gift ideas…except from Tyler and Kyle…for the kids we buy for, and since they don’t want for anything, it’s just to hard to shop for any of them. Â Maybe that means they really don’t want anything? Â Oh well, I guess we’ll get to tell them that with no gift idea list…”you get what you get, and you don’t throw a fit”.
My mom said the other day that she thought her pain was a “little” better but not much. Â She’s going to the doctor today concerning all the fluid retention she’s having since that’s really not good since she’s flat on her back the majority of the time. Â She is doing PT for a couple of hours each day, but the rest of the day, she’s in bed. Â I don’t know what else she can do with a broken back and they can’t fix it. Â Dad is adjusting well now that mom is there but they are both looking forward to the day they can return home. Â It will be a while yet, but we’re praying that that will happen for them.
It won’t be long until we’ll be headed to Florida and I can say I’m excited about that. Â We’ll be going down with the Crockett’s for a few days before we head on down to where we’ll spend the month of January. Â It’s currently really warm there and I sure hope it stays that way. Â The last year we went for a month it was the year of cold weather for them…still warmer than KY but sure cold for FL when frost was destroying both plants and tropical fish. Â We are ready for some R & R, connecting with friends, and not having to contend with cold, snow, ice, etc.
