What a week….

Here it is Thursday morning and I’m in Abilene, TX visiting with my mother…daddy, too…at the hospital.  She was brought here Tuesday morning and was in severe pain along with having a panic attack due to the lack of oxygen.  When my sister, Linda, and I arrived on Tuesday night I fully expected to be saying my final words to her even though she was totally unresponsive.  She is still not doing well, and says she is so weak and tired,  She said she knows dad will be OK and she’s praying for The Lord to come quickly…so far he’s saying wait a little longer.  Please pray that she will remain peaceful, pain free, and unafraid.  She is displaying these characteristics currently.

I will miss her terrible and know my dad will be lost without her.  Thankfully this separation is only a temporary one until we all sit at the feet of Jesus.  Keep praying for her and that she will not suffer or that the pain won’t return.  Linda left for home today and I’ll be here until Monday morning, and I thank God for this time and recognize the blessing of having some good time with her…even under these circumstances.

Thanks to all that have, and still are, praying for her and daddy.  This is a difficult part of life but we will all face it one day.  I pray I will be loved and cared for as much as she is loved by so many both in the family and in the community.  What a wonderful example of the “worthy woman”.

Blessings……
