Here it is, Friday night, and we are on our way to Florida.  We will get to our first destination…Cape San Blas, FL…tomorrow afternoon…spending a few days with all the Crockett’s  soaking up some sun, hopefully, and just enjoying being on the beach.  We will welcome in the New Year with them before we hear on south to Venice, Florida.  We are planning on staying the entire month there and looking forward to reconnecting with some friends we made from previous visits to this area.  We, also, have hopes of being able to connect with Teresa and her family…been several years since we’ve done that.
We enjoyed another good meal at the 306 Bar-B-Que tonight with Jerry and Margaret and catching up on what’s happen since Aunt Imogene passed. Â It takes about 6 hours to get here from Wilmore and we’ll have another 6-7 tomorrow so we’re half way to the beach! Â It’s rather cool here, and I understand it won’t be real warm in Florida, but we’ll be at the beach and that will make it all worthwhile.
Currently I’m not hearing much out of Texas but what I am hearing is encouraging. Â Mom is doing her exercises as much as possible, able to sit in a chair each day…this is all done with help. Â Of course, she still has a very long road to travel. Â She’ll get back to UP because she’s so determined to do so, and I am so proud of her for working so hard. Â Having a broken back has to be one of the worse possible injuries. Â Every time you move, it causes pain somewhere in your body! Â We’re still praying for them both and miss getting to help them with all these current struggles.
Have a fun, safe, weekend and let’s all keep praying for my folks, Linda Lou, my sister-in-law, and for Patsy, another sister-in-law…all having health issues…and for my brother, Jerre, that had to have surgery a couple of weeks ago. Â It sounds as though we’re all falling apart! Â Guess this goes with us all being among the “oldies but goodies” generation. Â Love too you all.
