Another year is quickly coming to a close and what a year it has been. Â We were very blessed…and busy…with 200 +/- days booked at the “Blue House” which enabled us to meet many wonderful people. Â We have gotten to enjoy our children, and grandchildren, at various times and that has been one of our best blessings.
My parents are doing better for now, but they are still struggling with health issues…but who isn’t at 94? Â Mom is able to stand and/or sit, with help, and that’s encouraging. Â She has every intention of getting back home as quickly as possible. Â A broken back is a slow healing process but she’s working hard and will win this fight! Â The doctors are still trying to get dad’s sugar count to stabalize, which has been a big concern, because it’s caused him to fall a couple of times. Â We are thankful for them, and their lives, and will continue to pray that they will have quality lives vs.quantity of days.
George and I have remained healthy, for the most part, and are content with life as retiree’s. Â I continue to plug away at my knitting/crochet projects and have plans for making more gifts for some of the special people in my life. Â George is becoming very efficient at turning wood into beautiful items and we all cherish the many items he’s blessed us with. Â He could sell them but his preference is to just give them away…he has sold a few pieces which is good as he just goes buy more “stuff” for woodworking projects. Â We are currently in Florida and will be enjoying the sunshine, surf, sand, and sunsets while all at home will have just the opposite. Â Sorry folks, but someone has to help the Florida economy and we were chosen for this January!
May you all be blessed in 2014 with an even closer walk with The Lord, good health, and much happiness as you share Jesus with all you encounter. Â Thank you for your love, concern, and sharing of yourselves with us as we continue on this journey of life.
HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Â Much love to each and everyone of you that read this “grandma” blog. Â May you remain informed about our rather boring lives, entertained…as I find some events funny and worth sharing,…and uplifted through unexpected events.
Blessings…….
