Our very special friends, Frances and Lovell Richardson of Louisville, came to visit us for a few hours today. It was wonderful to see them and catch up on things…we’ve been friends for more than 40 years and I have really missed them. In fact, Frances was the co-teacher for the ladies class we taught together for the last 12 + years, so we’ve spent a lot of time together. They were also some of our traveling buddies…we’ve been to Hawaii, Idaho, the Smokies many times, and the entire northeast plus many other areas. We have many fabulous memories! We ate lunch at our newest restaurant…Union Station Bar-B-Q that’s suppose to be Texas style but they never ate at Harold’s…took them to High Bridge and showed them around Wilmore before dropping in on Tanya to show off their home. Hopefully, they will come back before long and stay longer!
Today was another COOL, rainy day. I know once it warms up it will go from cool to HOT…I would like a little warmer weather so we can turn off the heat! Our yard is looking so pretty and we have many blooming bushes which we’ve never had before. I hung a couple of Boston ferns on the front porch before we went to Memphis and we have some sort of bird that has made one of them her home. The few days we were gone, she’s built a nest, layed six eggs, and seems quite content to be there…it’s ruining that side of my fern, however. Oh well, I won’t do anything about it and I marvel at nature and how the birds survive.
No more news except to tell you to get the book “Mistaken Identity” by Don & Susie Van Ryn and Newell, Colleen, & Whitney Cerak (parents of the two girls the book is about). I picked it up at the library today and can’t put it down. They are truly families that believe in prayer and have great faith.
Enjoy each day.
Blessings…..
