Yesterday we drove over to Sarasota to worship with the people at the Central church and we loved seeing the people we have gotten to know through our years of coming down here. Â We were truly blessed by being there!
After services we drove back to Venice and met Teresa and her family for lunch. Â They are all doing well and the children are so sweet…very mannerly and a true joy to be around. Â Their oldest, Hannah, will graduate this year and is leaning towards West Point as her college choice….gotten accepted at many other but liked this the best. Â All of the kids are considered as “gifted” so each will do welL Â Richard stays very busy with his practice but loves it so that’s always good. When we do what we really enjoy doing, we never really go to work…we just keep doing the stuff we enjoy. Â Here’s the family below….minus Mason who had other plans.
Today we’re having lunch with friends…Ron and Allison…and then George plans on fishing while I try and soak up some sun. Â It’s been cool most days since we’ve been here but today should be great. Â Another cold front will be here by Wednesday but it is winter…even in Florida!
Carter and Lori are back home and said they had a great two weeks in Hawaii…got nice tans, too. Â Linda and Jim are packing for their extended time in Vienna and we wish then a good four months there. Â Mom is still in the hospital but hoping to get out later this week…still has congestion in her lungs. Â Dad is coping as best he can….missing mom terribly! Â Vanessa is going to go visit her folks later this week for a couple of weeks. Â Scott has a business trip to Chicago and will be going to see Clark while he’s in the “neighborhood”…know they will have fun being together in the cold! Â All others are good, I guess, and our time here is quickly slipping by.
Have a great week and we’ll do our best to do the same.
Blessings….
