We have had a great time here in Venice, FL but it’s now time to head for home in the morning. Â Certainly not every day has been a sunshiny day this time, but we have had some warmth, along with some cool, and now we’re having some rain that they desperately need here. Â We’ve enjoyed time with friends here, walked many miles over the course of this month, eaten some wonderful food at some really good restaurants, and made a quick trip to Abilene to say good-bye to my precious mother. Â I don’t look forward to the LONG ride home…especially since we’re going through Atlanta…but all good things must come to an end and our days here are over for this year.
I learned yesterday that Lawrence and Lorin have gotten daddy into the Chisholm House…next door to University Place…and he will be moved in this weekend. Â It’s a much nicer place, per Lawrence, and daddy knows some people there already so, hopefully, he won’t feel so lonely living there.. Â I had hoped I’d get to help him move in, and settled, when it came time for him to move, but that sure isn’t going to happen. Â Distance is a problem for sure! Â Please pray he will adjust well…he does seem to be doing better…and that he’ll be comfortable for his remaining days. Â He sounded good, and strong, when I talked to him yesterday but he’s missing mother so much and would love to be with her.
Linda and Jim head for Vienna on Saturday and this has been a whirlwind week for them…so much to do, so little time! Â I know they, along with the students, will be richly blessed by this experience. Â Travel safe and we’ll look forward to your e-mails telling us about all your fun stuff you’re doing.
Gotta get busy. Â Pray for our safetly as we travel tomorrow…for Lawrence, Linda, and Buddy as they travel today, peace for daddy, and safe travels for Linda and Jim. Â Love to you all.
Blessings…….
