Today we actually had sunshine for the better part of the day but the clouds are starting to roll in. Winter is certainly not over but just having some sun was a big boost in the right direction towards spring.
George and I went to Louisville today to have Branden give us a tour of where he works…very interesting and quite a process to making the mint julip cups! He’s about the only one in Louisville that makes the cups now and the finished products are gorgeous. Branden has always had a artistic flair and this allows him to really show it off. Thanks again for showing off your work place and taking the time to have lunch with us.
After we left Branden, we ran by the Gabehart’s to check up on Madi. She has another injury from running track because her muscles are currently stronger than her bones which caused her pelvis bone to fracture. She will be on crutches for at least a month and then we’ll see what happens next and when she can get back to track and volleyball. She’s really bummed about this but it can’t be helped but she must take care so she won’t have issues for the rest of her life. We didn’t see any of the boys, except for Byron, or Melissa, as she was flying home from Phoenix where she’d been to a conference. They are all busy as beavers but doing well for the most part.
The cabinets are to be installed tomorrow and I am so excited! I just hope they really will be. The kitchen isn’t any bigger but it sure is going to be a lot nicer. Gotta love having a “face life” even if it is just in the kitchen.
