Better get ready….

Can’t believe we are preparing for yet another ice/snow storm.  This winter is one that just won’t quit and we are all so tired of dealing with all the extreme cold, snow, ice, and snow days for the kids.  I know this will end before long, but the sooner the better is my thoughts!

We are entertaining the Crockett kids this weekend as Tanya and Daniel have gone to Charleston for a couple of days to just get some R&R.  Wonder if they’ll be able to get back home on Monday?  Praying they’ll have a great time and come home refreshed.

Lorin and Patsy are in the midst of a MAJOR overhaul of their home and it boggles my mind to think I’d ever even try to tackle something like that.  They are redoing their entire house in a major way…every room will be painted, new carpet, new flooring on the rooms that don’t get carpet, removal of the popcorn ceilings, removal of panel on family room walls, totally new kitchen from top to bottom, and it will be fabulous once it’s all done.  I thought it was a major deal just redoing our kitchen.  Guess that shows what a wimp I am!!!

I would appreciate everyone reading this to be praying for my sister-in-law, Linda Lou, as she will once again be having a very difficult back surgery to repair the fracture in her back and to rid her of the constant severe pain she’s had now for over six months.  They all wanted to avoid this but her back just wasn’t healing from the last surgery and this is the only option left, apparently.  She’s a very sweet lady and we all want her to have her life back along with some much needed quality of life.  We’re definitely praying for her, Lawrence, and Buddy.  Love each of you.

I talked with my dad yesterday and he seems to be doing well.  He sounded strong but he told me again that he has a good cry most every day and I feel that’s quite appropiate.  He doesn’t seem to want to interact with the other residents there, which is sad, but that’s his choice and if he’s content and happy so am I.  Being all alone in that room day after day would be very depressing to me but he’s OK with it for now.

Guess I’d better get myself to Kroger’s and pick up some groceries before the storm hits.  Our kitchen is to be 100% completed on Monday and I’m so thankful.  We both love what we selected and it has definitely brightened up our kitchen.

Enjoy your weekend.  Love to you all.

Blessings….
