Our dinner

Tonight we had our next door neighbors over for dinner, along with the Crockett’s, and we enjoyed having all of them.  Our neighbors are from Russia and have only been in the USA for four years.  Language and the American customs are their biggest problems…he does better with language than she does.  I have trouble understand them but they are most patient with us.  George is going to learn Russian from him but we’ll see how long he will hang in there with him.  He works for Amazon and she works for Kroger’s and they are both happy to be in Wilmore.  They have been Christians for several years…common bond between us already…and we’re looking forward to learning more about their customs, etc.

Our beautiful weather continues and I love it.  Of course, it’s looking like rain will arrive just in time for the weekend…not that it really matters to us since we’re retired.  We could us some rain so we’ll not complain.

We got word today that the tumor Allison’s mom had removed was cancer but the doctors all feel certain they got it all.  They haven’t said what type of treatment they will do but none of it would be very appealing.  The family is optimistic that she will do well and have a complete recovery.   Therefore, please keep praying for Susan Turner.

No real news or excitement so guess I’ll run.  Let those you’re around each day know that you love them and they are special to you.

Blessings….Â
