Yesterday and today are teasing us with some spring like weather but it will be very short lived. Storms are coming in tomorrow and bring the threat of snow for Thursday…a joke, right? Regardless, I will enjoy what The Lord is blessing us with today and then complain tomorrow, or Thursday!
Not much happening around here for now…guess that’s a good thing. Saturday we got to see Kyle and Tyler play in their scrimmage baseball games and they both did well. They are serious about baseball and both are very good at it…along with their school work and Tyler’s piano. Then we all went out to eat and it was very good being with them…I miss my Louisville family. Yesterday Tanya flew to Boston for a conference and will be gone all week. Daniel is enjoying being Mr. Mom while she’s gone along with working and keeping up with the kids busy schedules.
Carter and Lori will be moving into their new home later this month and I know they are excited about that. We may even go down to help/watch them move and see the new place. Vanessa is still in Texas helping her parents and I’m not sure when she’ll be able to go back home…her dad isn’t doing so well and her mother has alzheimer’s. As for Scott and his family, no news must be good news as we haven’t heard of anything going on around Atoka. We are blessed with great kids, and super grandkids, and glad that life is treating them well for the most part.
I really messed up on the 6th and forgot to write a “Happy Birthday Chance” note on here. I did send him a message, late, wishing him a happy birthday so maybe I’ll get credit for finally remembering. Chance is a great guy, engaged to marry a great gal, and currently busy with his job and adjusting to living in Atlanta. Love you even though I doubt you’ll ever see this.
I need to get myself over to the “blue house” and clean it while George works on the yard over there…so many small branches fell the last few days.
Pray hard for Linda Lou as she has her surgery on the 14th. and that the doctor will be able to fix her back and rid her of all this pain. Remember to pray for my dad as he’s so lonely and so lost without mother. Linda and Jim are enjoying their time in Vienna but homesickness settles in at times so let’s keep them in our prayers, too. Lorin’s hand is healing, I guess, and I know he’s wanting to get back to the “remodeling” of their entire house. Life continues to be busy for us “old folks” but we are thankful for what we have and what we’re able to do. Love to you all.
Blessings.
