MOST all of Kentucky is geared up for the second to the last BIG basketball game of the season…UK Basketball, and it brings out all the “crazies” during this time of year…while some of us are ready for baseball to be in the limelight. We do wish the Wildcats to have a good game and as the old saying goes…may the best team win! It pains me to say this but “GO CATS”…I will always be a Cards fan.
Daddy didn’t have a very good day yesterday as the fluid retention is again building up in him. I did call late yesterday afternoon and tried to talk with him but he couldn’t really hear much of what was being said…not sure if he had his hearing aids in…but I do believe he knew it was me. When I ask him how he was he stated, “I’m OK, I guess”. He may not realize the seriousness of his condition and I think that may be a good thing. He sounded good, considering, so I pray they were able to get more of the fluids out of his chest. My prayer is still for The Lord to come quickly and for him to remain comfortable while he’s waiting on The Lord. This is so hard, since we just went through this two months ago, but this is one of the parts of life that isn’t suppose to be easy or fun.
We have enjoyed having Tyler visit with us the last few days…not sure if he goes home today or tomorrow…but having rainy days, along with teenagers, makes life very interesting. He even brought his electric key board so we’ve gotten to be entertained with music as well. He really isn’t any trouble and has enjoyed getting to be with the Crockett kids…lots of baseball, basketball, and video games…let’s not forget to mention NOISE! Love, love, love these grandkids!
I talked with Linda Lou yesterday…may have been Thursday…and she’s doing much better. Her pain is coming from the incision and no longer from the back so that’s great news. She’s even able to get around without her walker some…using a cane…and I know that makes her feel good since that’s a sure sign of improvement. Just being able to sleep in her bed, get out of the house, and walk better is an answer to the many, many prayers offered on her behalf.
Guess I’d better get busy and off the IPad. George and Tyler went to breakfast with Dr. Galloway…which will include a trip to Wal-Mart, I’m sure…so I need to chase some of the dust bunnies away while they are gone. Have a good weekend and worship time with other believers tomorrow. Continue to pray for Daddy along with others that need to feel the comfort and love of The Lord. Love you all.
Blessings……
