Saturday afternoon we got “the call” that daddy had left this life and was now standing at the feet of Jesus…with Mother at his side. I talked to the Hospice nurse just thirty minutes prior to his death and she said he was about the same as the day before, appeared comfortable, and sleeping. I am so sad that we lost both of our parents within 2 1/2 months of each other, but I also rejoice that daddy is no longer lonely and missing the love of his life. I can honestly say that daddy died due to a broken heart, along with congestive heart failure. Rest in peace daddy!
We will be headed to Texas in the morning and will be there through Easter. Thankful for our risen Savior and that death to this life is the opening of life to eternity. Pray for all of us traveling and for what the next several days will present to us. Praise God for the love that binds us all together! Love to all.
