Happy Birthday Melissa

Because all our children were born pre-ultra sound, we never knew what we were giving birth to.  When the doctor told us it was a GIRL we were both thrilled.  In fact, I could hear George hoopin’ all the way back in the delivery room…that’s right, the dad’s were contaminated back in the day!  Melissa Ann arrived full of spunk and has remained that way!  She has been a real blessing to our lives and we are so very proud to know she’s ours.  Melissa is a hard working lady and doing a fantastic job in the housing market…selling houses when no one else seems to be doing so…an extremely busy mom keeping up with the kids and all they are involved in, along with being a wife, friend, and homemaker.  Love you bunches, Melissa, and pray this will be your best year ever.  HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

The storms are headed our way and I’m sure not excited about that after seeing the devastation in Arkansas.  We do need rain, but we don’t need tornados!  Praying for all those that have lost so much, including lives, and that no more serious damage will be done as these storms move across our lands.

Linda and Jim, along with all the students, will be heading for home this week…pray for them that their travels will be safe and that going through customs will be easy.  They have had a wonderful experience but there’s still no place like home.

Have a great week.  Derby week in KY so lots going on, including this weather!  It is a fun week with activities going on all week before the BIG race on Saturday.  We’re suppose to go to Louisville for our usual Derby party.  This will be a “cool” derby weekend but at least it won’t be snowing!  Love to you all.  Now let’s all sing to Melissa…”Happy birthday to you…”

Blessings…..
