Another week has flown by…

This has been a good week but it seems to have just flown by!  We got to go to Louisville on Wednesday to hear Tyler play the piano for his school choir and he did an outstanding job.  He appeared to be so relaxed, made no mistakes, and was comfortable performing in his very first public appearance.  It still amazes me that he can play so well and has never had any lessons.  What a gifted guy he is!!!

We were also able to see Kyle play a little baseball before the recital and that was good.  We saw him hit a hard drive out to right field getting a good solid double.  After we left he got on base again, but I don’t remember how he did it.  He’s one of our four very talented baseball players…Tyler, Blake, and Grayson are the other three.  We enjoy seeing them all play and they are all serious about the sport, along with their studies…each one is an all “A” student…and each one is a real cutie!  We are so blessed!!!  We ended our time in Louisville by going out to eat at a Mexican restaurant and that was very good!  We had to wait a while for a table, but it was sure worth the wait.

Yesterday I got to talk to my sister for the first time since they got home.  They have been busy getting everything put away, three months worth of mail to sort through, they have been experiencing some jet lag…never a fun thing…but the trip was a great experience and they were blessed to have been there with those students.  We are all thankful they are home and back in the U.S. but they have a lot on their plate these next few weeks so there’s not much resting time for now.

I, also, spoke briefly with my sister-in-law, Linda, and she got a good report from her doctor concerning her recent back surgery.  She was hoping she could get rid of her brace, but she’ll wear that for one more month and then start PT for a while.  She is finally making strides towards being back to normal, and pain free, and that’s truly an answer to lots, and lots, of prayers!

Tomorrow we’ll go to Meredith’s dance recital and that will be fun.  She…along with all the others…have been working hard for months and she’s really ready for this to come to a close.  It’ll only be a few weeks and she’ll be bored again and wanting something to occupy her days!

Sunday is Mother’s Day and it will be a day of joy, along with sorrow.  I am blessed with so many wonderful children, in-law children, along with many grandchildren, that I can’t help but feel joyful…but, this being mom’s first “heavenly” Mother’s Day will be sad for all her children, etc.  I just keep reminding myself that she is truly pain free and enjoying her new legs while walking those golden streets with daddy.  Happy Mother’d day to all the mother’s reading this today.

We’re celebrating another birthday today!  One of our very favorite foster son’s is celebrating his 37th birthday today.  Sean is a hard working man that captured our hearts the first day we saw him.  I doubt he’s reading this, but I still want those that are to think about him and to know just what an amazing man he has turned out to be!  Love him bunches and he’ll always have a special place in all our hearts.  Happy, happy birthday Sean!!!

Guess I’ve rattled on long enough so I’ll get back to my knitting…or reading my book…or figure out where we’re going to eat dinner tonight!  Have a great week-end, enjoy the beauty of the spring time, and worship with other believers on Sunday.  Love to you all!

Blessings…….
